Blueberry Avocado Almond Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 avocado, halved and pitted
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup nonfat milk
- 1/2 cup lowfat vanilla yogurt
- 1/8 cup almonds, chopped
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp. flaxseed
- 8 ice cubes
- 2 Tbsp toasted almonds sliced or chopped
Directions
- Place flaxseed in blender, grind for 30 seconds, this will help eliminate the bitterness of the flaxseed.
- Pour ingredients into the blender in order listed, except for honey. Blend until smooth.
- Add honey and blend an additional 30 seconds.
- Split between two tall glasses and garnish each with 1 tbsp. toasted almonds. Drink immediately to receive full nutritional value.
