Bread Plum Pudding


  • 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 can peaches
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 10 oz plums
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • vanilla ice cream if desired


  1. Cut bread into small pieces. Mix with milk and let sit for one hour.
  2. Preheat oven at 350˚F and grease a pan.
  3. Put all ingredients except for the ice cream into a blender, mix to obtain a smooth paste and pour the paste into the pan. Bake for one hour.
  4. After one hour, increase heat to 425˚F and bake for another 15 minutes, for  the pudding form a crust. Remove from the oven and cut into pieces. Top with ice cream and serve warm.
