Caramel Sauce Recipe
I have a friend that once said, “you can put caramel sauce on a flip flop and I’d eat every piece of it”. Caramel sauce is that good!
There are few things as satisfying as a delicious caramel sauce. Whether it is on vanilla ice cream or over baked apples, caramel evokes thoughts of the Autumn, comfort and home fires.
This recipe is a super simple version to make using a Vitamix or Blendtec blender. Basically dump all the ingredients in a blender, turn it on, and you end up with a delicious caramel sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 tbsp soft butter
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp sea salt
Directions
- Heat evaporated milk and water to a boil.
- Pour boiled liquid into blender, add butter and blend.
- Add sugar and salt and blend until smooth.
