Cheddar Cheese Sauce for Veggies

A basic cheese recipe is easy to make and has none of the additives that are found in store-bought versions.


  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cup warmed milk
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese


  1. Melt butter in a sauce pan and remove from heat.
  2. Add flour and mix. Slowly add the milk and return to low heat. Cook for a few more minutes. Place mixture in blender with cheese and blend for five minutes.
  3. Serve with pureed veggies like carrots or broccoli.
