
Cheddar Cheese Sauce for Veggies
A basic cheese recipe is easy to make and has none of the additives that are found in store-bought versions.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cup warmed milk
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Directions
- Melt butter in a sauce pan and remove from heat.
- Add flour and mix. Slowly add the milk and return to low heat. Cook for a few more minutes. Place mixture in blender with cheese and blend for five minutes.
- Serve with pureed veggies like carrots or broccoli.
