Chocolate Potato Frosting


  • 3 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 cup cooked sweet potatoes, peeled, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cup agave nectar or honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  1. Cook the potatoes in water until well cooked. Drain and set aside to cool. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate over a water bath or in the microwave.
  2. Place the potatoes into a blender and mix to obtain a thick composition. Add the melted chocolate and mix again a couple of times, to incorporate well.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and blend for a few seconds to combine well. You should obtain a thick frosting. Refrigerate for 1 hour and serve on top of cakes, muffins or other desserts.
