Vodka Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 white onion, diced
- 1/3 cup vodka
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Directions
- Place butter in a sauté pan over medium heat. Sauté diced onion for about 2 to 3 minutes or until onion becomes tender and translucent.
- Add vodka, cook 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce and cook for 3 minutes.
- Place heavy whipping cream in blender and blend until soft peaks form. Scrape into sauté pan and heat, but do not allow it to boil.
- Pour over pasta. Yield: 4 servings, or enough for 1 pound of pasta.
