Banana Pecan Smoothie
The humble pecan is a delicious afterthought when it comes to many recipes, but here we bring this lovely nut to the fore. The pecan, vanilla and banana combination is like a pancake waiting to happen, but in the smoothie version it’s healthier, quick to prepare and a treat on the no-time-for-pancake-making weekdays.
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup pecan
- 2 tsp crushed pistachio
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp granola
- 1 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 cup soy milk
Directions
- Grind the pecans and pistachio into a crunchy butter texture.
- Combine all of your ingredients in a blender and whirr to smoothie perfection.
