Carrot Beet Smoothie
The rich colors of the carrot and beet also indicate the depth of healthy goodness the vegetables contain. Carrots contain beta carotene and help reduce cholesterol and improve skin while beets are immunity boosters and a great source of iron. Their flavors complement one another and make for a satisfying smoothie.
Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded carrot
- 1/2 cup sliced beets
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup ice
Directions
- Place carrot and beets in blender and puree for 1-2 minutes.
- Add remainder of ingredients and blend on high for 1 minute.
