Coffee Smoothie

This healthy coffee smoothie provides a frappuccino taste without all of the calories and sugar. The acai berry is not only a fabulous antioxidant but also offers a great chocolatey accent to the ground hazelnuts.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup shelled and chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 cup light vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tsp acai berry
  • 3 tbsp honey

Directions

  1. Place hazelnuts in blender and puree.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

  1. You can buy hazelnuts and coffee beans from groceries or beans shops. You have the option to roast them by yourself or you can ask the store to roast it for you and grind it to powder ready for brewing. That would be easier to do but if you really want to smell the aroma, have it roasted by yourself.
